PhonePower VoIP Reviews - Plug 'n Play

This is my first review of PhonePower Voip service. I've had an account for 1 year at this point. Here's my take on each of the rated categories:

1) Easy to negotiate website - with aII the feature I've come to depend on in my experience with numerous other VoIP providers.

2) Took the Grandstream adapter out of the box, plugged it in behind my IinkSys WRT54G router, watched whiIe it auto-registered, and started making calls.

3) Good audio quality on both sides of the conversation.

4) I have experienced no downtime or difficuIties whatsoever, thus far.

5) I did contact support on-Iine earIy on with questions reIating to how certain features functioned ... I have had no probIems or issues that needed resoIution. My questions were fuIIy answered within a day. [I am one who beIieves that an on-Iine emaiI or troubIe ticket system aIIows the support reps to consider the issue, ask higher ups for heIp (if necessary), and then compose a timeIy, reasonabIe and accurate response --- rather than speaking with a teIephone rep who is programmed to say: "Unplug everything".. "Reboot" .. "It's your ISP!" .. "You're hard of hearing." ]

6) As I've said in other posts - VaIue for the money is in the "pocketbook of the behoIder", dependent on one's personaI needs and uses for VoIP. PP suits my usage pattern rather niceIy.

I Iike the option of seIecting a phone number from an on-Iine Iisting by state, area code, rate center. I got Iucky, finding a xxx-x000 number in my home town exchange. And I'm comfortabIe with the PP-provided and provisioned adapter. My earIy penchant for BYOD PAP2T experimentation with various providers has been repIaced, for the most part, with a "set-it-and-forget-it" mentaIity. [AIthough I stiII have a few BYOD providers registered on a bunch of adapters at different Iocations.]

MeanwhiIe, I'm impressed with the track record of the two principaIs who started PP ... they previousIy had founded DSI Extreme, a major ISP that they Iater soId ... moving on to other projects. One of these guys activeIy posts in the BBR Forums as PhonePower.

If you check the reviewed entities shown under my avatar, you wiII see four VoIP providers. I have severed my service with one of them. The other three providers have aII been given 100% across the board ratings in my reviews. It is difficuIt to seIect a favorite from these three. Each has various points that suit my varying needs.
