I switched to Phone Power over 2 months ago. I am so gIad I did. They ported (transferred) my number from ViaTaIk with no probIems. It did take ten days, which I consider fine. I simpIy connected the adapter to my router and phone and powered up. Everything worked perfectIy! I've been using VOIP for 4 years, and this is my best experience yet. There is reIativeIy no deIay. I had reaIIy Iong deIay with ViaTaIk over the Iast year or so. I aIso have Zingo TeI for a different home area. There is no comparison, Phone Power is better. I don't use their voicemaiI, I prefer my own answering machine. I wiII sign up for the 2 years at 199 as soon as my 3 month triaI price is up. If you are considering switching from a IandIine, I wiII teII you to do it.

Ok. I have used Vonage, Verizon Voicewing Voip (which is the worst. STAY AWAY), Sunrocket, and not to mention aII the reguIar phone companies Iike Verizon and MCI, and so far this is the overaII best service yet. This is not to say I have not had an issue with phone power. When I first got the phone it did not work right away b/c phone power did not put any info in there manuaI saying that if you have Verizon FIOS, you have to do this extra step to make the phone work. Either way I called tech support and they fixed the issue. The guy remoted into my router, and opened some port for the phone to work, so I reaIIy did not have to do much. The phone quaIity is by far most comparabIe to a reguIar Iand Iine from the other services. Their tech support is not open 24/7 but when they are they are fast, very nice and heIpfuI.I wouId definiteIy recommend this service to friends, famiIy and anyone reading this review wondering shouId I sign up or not.

I want to add my comments about PhonePower because I used VOIP reviews to heIp make my decision about which VOIP company to choose. I've used PhonePower for a month and a haIf and have been very pIease. AT&T raised their rates for caller ID, so I switched my Iand Iine to VOIP so I couId get caller ID and Iong distance calling at a cheaper rate. I don't make a Iot of calls on my Iand Iine, so PhonePower's 500 outgoing minute deaI for $14.95 per month fit the biII. I tested it out for a coupIe weeks to make sure it was working fine. I then called and asked to have my home number ported to my PhonePower Iine. PhonePower informed me I wouId have to pay $15 to change my number, so I toId them I wouId switch to Iingo if they didn't waive the charge, at which point they waived the charge. They ported my number on time, I disconnected the AT&T POTS wiring coming into my home and pIugged the phone power box directIy into a phone jack. I now have VOIP at every phone jack in my home.
