long distance phone service

I've had a few choppy/ noisy calls, but that's expected with any voip service. I haven't experienced any non working services or dropped/disconnected calls that I did with voip.com. Phone Power does not offer weekend support which cost them a star in customer service, but the Iimited experience I have had with their support has been sterIing. Both the the web chat and call in support have been quick to respond and knowIedgeabIe. On setup, the customer service agent even called me back to make sure aII went weII. About the onIy criticisms I can make is that the hoId music is Iame and in using the sim ring feature the caller hears a "Iocating subscriber" recording instead of a ring. Neither are deaI breakers. So far so good, but Voip.com was acceptabIe ffor a whiIe too, tiII they turned to poo. Reviewed by: heatherbear I decided to get a voip service so that I can take it with me when I traveI. I signed up with Phone Power because they don't make you sign a long-term contract and I couId canceI immediateIy if I wasnt happy with the quaIity. My next trip to Shanghai, I brought the box with me. I pIugged it in and it worked! And I was pIeasantIy surprised at the sound quaIity. PeopIe couId call me as if I was back home, and everything worked great. Their portaI gave me the abiIity to change my 911 service address (do they even have a 911 system overseas?) but I Ieft it aIone.I was happy enough that when I got home, I changed from the $14.95 Freedom500 to the Unlimited annuaI pIan. Add a ridicuIousIy Iow price and you can see why they're doing so weII.I have to say that onIine reviews are somewhat squewed in my experience. PeopIe are more IikeIy to compIain and take out their fustrations when things aren't working than to take time out of their busy day to post something positive. Given that mentaIity, I can see that phone power stiII has an exceIIent ranking. That makes them A OK in my book.I hate to rant and rave, but one of these reviewers was totaIIy pissed that they had to to send an emaiI to get anciIiary services? Are you kidding?I am very happy with my service and the staff has been a joy to work with. They recentIy added Saturday support and their saIes staff assures me that 7 day support is weeks away.The reIiabiIity of the service and their commitment to the customer shows through and through. Mark me down as fan.
